What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part of the program is building a connection with the new students. Some of my really good friends were actually students of mine!

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview?  Interacting with and helping the incoming freshman become acquainted with the university.

What will new students like about Bobcat Preview? Figuring out where buildings are, being in San Marcos a week before classes, learning what/where all of the resources are, meeting new people, having no obligations after sessions, etc.

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part of Bobcat Preview is knowing that students are gaining information that will help them be successful in their upcoming years in college.

What will new students like about Bobcat Preview? The students get to make new friendships prior to the semester starting and I think that really gets them off to a good start. 

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part of bobcat preview is the one on one time with the PALs and the students! The PALs can give the students real opinions on what it's like to be a bobcat.

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part about Bobcat Preview is how friendly and open everyone is. The welcoming atmosphere gets you ready and excited to live your life at Texas State!

What will new students like about Bobcat Preview? The friendly staff and the opportunity to learn about helpful tips that will jump-start their Collegiate Experience!

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part about being in Bobcat Preview is getting to work with people from different backgrounds and the bond you build between those people throughout the program. It's great experience to be apart of! 


Cynthia Jacobo

What will new students like about Bobcat Preview? The incoming class of 2021 will experience the start of their college years in the most welcoming and friendly environment. Bobcat Preview will help them adjust as they learn how to stay healthy, be responsible, and successful academically.The fun program led by students leaders will make an impact on new students while mentoring, assisting and showing pride for Texas State university. 

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? I love Bobcat Preview because it is not just a week long program. Planning takes about a year and for it to be as successful as it is takes training and preparation deposited into every student that leads. The process is extremely rewarding and once the program starts the impact, meaningful relationships and life changing experiences it creates are unimaginable. 


Trevor LaBrie

What will new students like about Bobcat Preview? Bobcat Preview gives new students the opportunity to branch out and meet other new students and give them necessary resources to be successful in college. You're college friends are the ones you'll have the benefit of keeping in touch with well after college.

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part of Bobcat Preview is seeing PALs (peer assistance leaders) develop into emerging leaders and new students getting an opportunity to start another grand chapter in their life. I enjoy all aspects of Bobcat Preview.


Reyna Lopez

What will new students like about Bobcat Preview?  New Students will appreciate being able to get to know the university a little better so that they’re not completely lost on the first day of class. They also have the opportunity to ask their PALs/Pro Ops questions about their experience here at Texas State. 

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part of Bobcat Preview is seeing the entire freshman class at the stadium for Bobcats are Proud. It’s so rewarding to see incoming students get excited for their college experience!

What will new students like about Bobcat Preview? New Students will be able to meet and interact with their peers that will be in their US 1100 class in the upcoming semester. Students will gain valuable information regarding resources that our university has to offer as well as learning pride and traditions we have here at Texas State. 

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part about Bobcat Preview is Bobcats are Proud at the stadium. During this part the whole freshman class gets to interact with one another while playing games and participating in the "pep rally" at the beginning of the evening.

What will new students like about Bobcat Preview? Bobcat Preview gives students the chance to make new connections with a diverse group of people. This program not only gives students the opportunity to learn more about what Texas State University has to offer but also encourages students to become aware of how they can make their college career memorable.

What is your favorite part of Bobcat Preview? My favorite part of Bobcat Preview was meeting my PAL/Peer Mentor. He really encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and find new opportunities to become involved with Texas State and the San Marcos community.
